Well what can I say, airtel just keeps making internet accessibility easier as time goes by.

Recently they launched another BlackBerry plan called airtel BlackBerry unlimited. It gives you 2GB of data valid for 30days and cost N1,500. The thing about this bundle is that you can use it with your modem, smartphones, android and other mobile devices.

To subscribe to this plan just load 1500 naira on your phone and dial *440*16# to check your bundle balance dial *123*10# or *141*712*0#.

This is probably the most wanted piece of information BlackBerry users on the MTN network search for- Everyone wants to know how they can use their BlackBerry subscription on pc without incurring additional data charges.

Even if you don’t own a BlackBerry this post will show and explain  how you can subscribe for a 1500 BB plan and use it on pc with unlimited downloads  for a whole month.

NOTE: This has been working for over 5months. Its not illegal because you have subscribe for 1month BB plan, you  are simply using PD-proxy to make it work on pc and be unlimited. I recommend you use this only in 3G coverage areas. Edge is too low! Without any software tweaks, MTN will not permit that, unless you follow these steps below:

1.     Subscribe for an MTN Blackberry complete or BIS bundle from the list here. The subscription can be done with any phone or USB modem.

2.     Signup for a PD-Proxy Account here and Download the PD-Proxy Tunneling software here.

3.     NOTE; A PD- Proxy premium membership is Required for this to work, It cost only 1000 Naira per month. You can visit http://www.pdproxy.com/premium.htm to get one (Paypal / Libertyreserve payment options) or I could help you register a premium account for free

4.     If you are done with steps 1, 2 and 3 above, connect your modem to pc with active BB data sim inside, set access point to Blackberry.net then connect.

5.     Open the “Blue” PD-Proxy icon Downloaded (visit/Win7 users may need to run as Administrator), Install the required drivers the first time only. Select German server (Do not select any USA or DEMO server) protocol is ICMP.

3.     BB Complete subscription 1500 plus PDproxy premium account 1500=3000 for 3000 Naira.

HOW TO USE ETISALAT.

Using your Etisalat Bis on your pc involves the following steps:

·        Etisala sim

·        GPRS enable phone

·        An internet modem

·        A personal computer

·        Your brain

Get an etisalat sim and activate it for Data. A sim should be automatically activated for internet immediately you insert into you phone. If after some period you still don’t get the settings sent to you, push etisalat data settings to your phone. If you already have a sim you have been using to browse, you don’t need this steps, just read on

Now that your sim is ready for internet, load a recharge card of 1000 Naira to your phone and subscribe to etisalat monthly Blackberry plan. To subscribe for BIS, send SOM to 399 or Dial *499*2# wait till you get a Etisalat sms that your subscription is successful.

Remove the etisalat SIM and insert into modem, connect your modem to your pc and create a new settings profile on your modem with the following information,

Profile name: Etisalat wap

APN: blackberry.net

ID or user name: leave it blank

Password: leave it blank

Advanced settings

Primary DNS:8.8.8.8

Alternate DNS:8.8.4.4

Save, select as the default settings and connect to internet.

Now open your browser and use the following IP and Port (IP:10.71.170.5 PORT: 8080) save it and you are almost done.
